Project Flourish
A complex and much-needed housing masterplan on a rare brownfield site has required a focus on community outreach within consultation from the start. Comm Comm UK has enjoyed promoting the project and our partners, Ballymore and Sainsbury’s, at every community event - from BBQs at the London Sports Trust to workshops in Grand Union Studios.

Our role:
Deliver communication strategy for the development of Kensal Canalside Opportunity Area, also know as Project Flourish in Ladbroke Grove.
Existing site:
Kensal Canalside is the largest brownfield site in RBKC
Identified by the Mayor of London as one of 48 Opportunity Areas within the London Plan 2021.

Communications undertaken:
Working with St William’s project ((other developer on site) and Ballymore project team to deliver a joint consultation that still allowed the sites to remain distinct
Specialist engagement with the local community established due to the sensitivity of the proximity to Grenfell Tower
Several rounds of public consultation events (July 2021, October 2021 and Summer 2023)
Online digital survey ‘Give My View’
New website launched in 2023 to share developments
Regular newsletters (online and physical) to share development
Series of community group meetings with local stakeholders
Drop-in public exhibition hub established, open three days a week, to view exhibition boards and meet the project team (Summer 2023)
