Comm Comm UK opened its doors in 2013 with the aim of increasing transparency and trust in public consultation, particularly within the fields of town planning and construction. Founded on 25 years’ experience in specialist communications for the built environment, we work with a diverse portfolio of clients and have an unrivalled success rate in achieving client objectives.
Comm Comm UK is a small, client-focused team of specialists in planning law and policy, conflict resolution, mediation and communications, digital and design skills and event organisation. We have found ourselves ahead of the curve in the post-covid work environment and live by a set of company values that define how we work and engage with everyone we work with.

Jessica Stewart
Managing Director
Jessica has 25 years’ experience in specialist communications for the built environment. She is an expert in delivering communications for regeneration projects, with particular expertise in developing strategy and delivering tailored campaigns using expertly crafted tools to successfully communicate with a variety of audiences, including communities, local authorities and businesses.Jessica combines an extensive knowledge of town planning, media, brand building and local government with a talent for and real enjoyment of hands-on working for clients and projects. She develops and implements innovative and creative ideas to achieve client objectives. She has a reputation for delivering success and is highly regarded within the industry.

Hannah Grogan
Head of Operations
Hannah is Head of Operations at Comm Comm, responsible for resourcing, critical path and keeping us on track with operational aspects of the business. With a background in sales, editorial and project management, Hannah joined Comm Comm from a long career at publishing house Penguin Random House.She works closely with all of our project managers and alongside Jessica to ensure we deliver the best work for our clients, on time and to budget.
Outside work Hannah is a busy mum, fan of the great outdoors and is training for an English Channel swim relay in 2024.

Anne Millington
Project Manager
Anne has always enjoyed the challenge of a varied and developing role and joined Comm Comm after a long career in commercial buying. Interested in expanding her experience in supplier and client relations and critical path management, Anne is enjoying furthering her skills in project management. With an artistic degree and appreciation of design, Anne also brings creative skills to the event and publicity aspects of her projects.
One of the things she really values about the role is seeing new technologies and ideas being developed and employed in the construction industry as it evolves to tackle the climate change.

Chris Sharp
Project Manager
Chris possesses extensive experience in communications, with a specialisation in planning communications, construction communications, public relations and public affairs.
As a former leader of a research team at a large consultancy firm, he has a natural inquisitiveness when it comes to understanding the bigger picture. This is especially true in terms of the bigger political picture, which Chris follows closely, enabling him to provide key insights to clients through intelligence reports.
In addition to his work with Comm Comm, Chris is also a skilled freelance journalist, having written multiple articles for the Daily Mail and his own publication.

Jake Cunliffe
Project Manager
Jake is a creative, committed communications and public relations specialist with more than 10 years' industry experience. He has worked with a range of clients, including Sainsbury’s, Lidl GB and National Grid, helping each to achieve planning consent and manage construction on sites across the UK.
At Comm Comm UK, Jake is working on projects for Berkeley Group, including the regeneration of Woodberry Down in Hackney and The Eight Gardens housing development in Watford. He is also spearheading our work on Barnet Elizabethans Rugby Football Club’s plans to upgrade its clubhouse and playing pitches and is part of the team focused on the regeneration of Ballymore and Sainsbury’s Kensal Canalside site in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Lillian Serunkuma
Project Manager
Lillian Serunkuma has worked in social housing for over 15 years and has experience in process improvement, data management infrastructure, aftercare management, complaints resolution and regeneration project management.
Lillian has worked with and advised Government agencies on process improvement. She is an active advocate for change through existing communities and mitigating social, technical and design challenges in new developments by always having the end users in mind.
She is committed to working on and delivering cohesive strategies that consider grassroots foundations of newly built environments. She is always working on improving through ‘lessons learned’ and capturing the needs of all stakeholders at the conception of a scheme.

Tamsin Hartin
Project Manager
Tamsin is a highly accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in property services. With a degree in law from the University of Exeter, Tamsin has a deep understanding of the intricacies of the legal and property fields. Her expertise and passion for building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is a tremendous asset to Comm Comm UK.
Tamsin's commitment to gaining community trust and providing exceptional service is at the core of everything she does. She leads on many of our estate renewal projects and is a methodical and insightful member of the team.
Her success rate in helping clients to gain planning permissions is second to none.

Natasha Hodges
Events Manager
Natasha leads on event organisation working closely with each scheme’s project manager. She thrives on the development and management of client relationships founded on years as an account and sales manager for global pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.
Natasha is experienced in managing corporate events and facilitating networking, having managed events for the Institute of Electrical Engineers and a renowned Golf Club.
Above all Natasha is a people person who enjoys interaction and delivering against expectations, as her honours degree in Humanities would suggest.

Emily Barton
Executive Assistant
Emily joins Comm Comm UK with a mix of administration and teaching experience. Having spent many years working in coordinator roles at various companies including the BBC, she moved into teaching where she has enjoyed a career working with both primary and secondary aged children. She is excited to be back in the corporate world and involved in a new industry to her, where she can use her communication and organisational skills to help assist Jess, Hannah and the team with their various projects and admin requirements.

Jane Johnson
Content strategist and PR
Jane is an award-winning content strategist, editorial director and PR who has been a senior leader on nine national newspapers.
She has worked on both broadsheets and tabloids, from The Scotsman to The Sun, running features departments as well as editing newspapers.
She conceived and launched two of the biggest national women’s magazine brands. One of them, Closer, reinvented the celebrity weekly market. The other, Fabulous, brought a new, younger female audience into a newspaper brand.
As director of Sky Living she reimagined it as a 360 brand which included digital and social media.
Jane has also run two award-winning marketing content studios, one for The Telegraph and the other for The Economist Group. For the latter she led effective B2B campaigns that covered sustainability, healthcare and globalisation.
She now advises businesses on their content strategy and PR, as well as executing and delivering marketing and PR campaigns.

Pete Chan
Graphic Designer
With over 19 years’ experience, Pete specialises in producing bespoke consultation material for the property, regeneration, infrastructure and energy sectors. Pete takes pride in working alongside his clients in creating unique, tailor-made solutions to each brief.
Pete supports the communications team throughout the life of a project with a suite of communications and consultation material. This typically includes exhibition display panels, consultation brochures, marketing material as well as reports and webinars.

Toni Byrne
Website Designer
Toni is an experienced designer with a proven track record of working with large trade brands, agencies and small businesses. She brings a fresh and unique approach to each project, with creativity at the core of everything she does and her aim is to share that with her clients.
With 20 years of experience in both freelance and in-house roles across design and marketing, Toni is uniquely positioned to navigate both design and clients’ needs.
Toni specialises in creating engaging and functional designs (campaigns) across all channels and applies the same creative enthusiasm to each project large or small. Her expertise spans print, digital, social media and web design and she is always developing her skillset and embracing new methodologies.
