Comm Comm UK is working with various partners to help bring about a masterplan for Brookfield Riverside and Garden Village - which include a new town centre and 1,500 new homes along with changes to the roads and nearby golf course.

The Broxbourne Local Plan, adopted in 2020, identified Brookfield as a key site in the Borough to deliver a comprehensively planned garden suburb and an extended new retail, civic, business and leisure centre for the Borough of Broxbourne together with homes for 5,000 people.

A number of organisations worked closely together to devise a site-wide masterplan which would involve three separate planning applications.  The development partners are the Borough of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire County Council and Sovereign Peveril Brookfield Limited (through Sovereign Centros).   

Comm Comm UK were appointed by Sovereign Centros and co-ordinated a joint consultation programme for the masterplan, comprising of both physical and online events and materials, which were held throughout 2022 to share information about the proposed development at Brookfield to ascertain the thoughts and concerns of local residents and relevant stakeholders.  

The outline planning applications were granted approval in 2023 and further detailed design work is currently ongoing.
