Introducing our new Consultation Toolkit

We are very excited to launch a new planning and consultation toolkit to help supercharge community consultation in line with Labour’s overhaul of the National Planning Policy Framework.

Labour’s manifesto pledge to deliver 1.5 million homes over the next five years was reaffirmed last week by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner. Promising a blitz on planning reform, starting with a new National Planning Policy Framework, the Government has vowed to deliver the biggest boost to social and affordable housing in a generation. However, local opposition and political hurdles will still pose significant challenges, making a fresh approach to consultation vital. This is where the Consultation Toolkit can help!

This innovative framework is set to revolutionise the planning application process by making community engagement faster, cheaper and more effective, helping developers to deliver new homes in sync with government objectives and bypass the all-too familiar bottlenecks.

Our templates and ‘how-to’ guides will equip developers, housing associations, architects and planners with best-in-class assets, training and advice to run their own public consultations for housebuilding projects. This user-friendly service can also help local authorities and amenity groups demystify the consultation process and bridge the gap between developers and communities.

Jessica Stewart, Comm Comm UK’s Managing Director, says "Labour's planning reforms will fall flat unless the antiquated consultation process is overhauled. Local concerns and opposition are inevitable but a tech-driven solution that simplifies and accelerates community consultation can make a significant difference. Our Consultation Toolkit is precisely that."

Clients will be supported by our experienced team, with over 25 years of helping property clients of all sizes create well-loved places and spaces. It will give smaller organisations access to top-notch assets and advice and is a big leap forward for an industry that’s struggled to keep up with housing demand.
